We are so excited to host the
2024 Chip Andrus Chili Cook-Off yet again at SSPC!

Saturday, November 2 at 6 PM at South Salem Presbyterian Church

As always we are partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association of the Hudson Valley and will be contributing 25% of our proceeds directly to them.

We are looking forward to an exciting night of fun and competition! There will be contests in both Chili and mac & Cheese. Judges from the Culinary Institute and local restaurants will perform blind taste tests in all divisions and will award their honors accordingly. Everyone attending the event will also get to cast a vote for their favorite and “Tasters’ Choice” medals and trophies will be presented as well!

Admission to the event is $25 per person (kids 12 and under are free).

Rules for Chili Cook-Off Entries:

  • Chili Entry in a crockpot (or similar vessel) must be at least 5 quarts, hot & ready to serve, onsite by 5:30pm
  • Mac & Cheese entries  in a crock pot or similar vessel, minimum 3 quarts, hot and ready to serve, onsite by 5:30pm
  • Judge’s Choice and Taster’s Choice awards will be given in both Chili and Mac & Cheese Divisions
  • Participants are to provide typed general description of chili and/or Mac & Cheese with list of major ingredients and known allergens
  • SSPC to provide table with power source for Crockpots and serving utensils
  • Garnish for chili entries is allowed for tasters only. Chili samples to Judges will be served UN-garnished.
